Moulded Plywood

Lightweight components are used where weight reduction is essential, i.e. where components from “classical” materials are substituted by lightweight components. The main target group is the caravan construction industry and increasingly the field of take-away furniture.

TS provides flat as well as moulded lightweight furniture components.

In principle, the following sandwich constructions are available:

• Outer layers
• light plywood (e.g.poplar ), MDF or similar materials

• Inner layers
• cardboard honeycomb, Styropor®, Fuma veneer, poplar veneer
• also available with stabilising framework constructions (e.g. abachi slats)
  

Sheet materials are produced in the required finished sizes; the maximum format is 3000 x 1220 mm depending on which material is chosen.

In the case of curved materials, dimensions depend on the corresponding
compression moulding dies (see Moulded Plywood Model Overview).

The surfaces are either veneered or ground ready for encasing.
